RIVERSIDE SWIM SCHOOL STATEMENT AND AIMS National Teaching plan
Dear Member. In the two years that the club has been closed we have been operating an interim program at the New Chiswick Pool. This program has enabled us to keep in touch with clients whose membership has been on hold and also to make new friends within the Chiswick community. We have also been able to retain our highly experienced coaches. We have been running our classes around the original Riverside swim school format. During this time, due to the limitations of our arrangement with the New Chiswick Pool it has been difficult to ensure our offering is varied. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all our clients for their loyalty during this period and also to welcome you back to the club. From 21st April 2008 we will be offering a full program which will take into consideration the demand for quality swimming tuition from 3 months through to adult. We will be offering a variety of lessons over seven days of the week to include individual and group lessons for all levels of swimming. In particular, it is our intention to recognise both the demand for competitive swimming for returning older children and at the same time have classes for swimmers who are not necessarily representing clubs or their school but who still show a high standard of swimming ability and a desire to continue to benefit from coaching sessions. Too many children stop swimming lessons prematurely. Lessons for children will run in line with the National teaching plan and the ASA awards scheme. www.swimming.org It is our intention going forward to maintain a database of our swimmers achievements in terms of ASA Badges awarded at the end of each term for member reference. So from Water babies classes through to Adult Swimfit the Riverside Swim School has something to offer the entire membership.
