Gym - Class Descriptions

We have 6 fitness arena coaching sessions, they are:

(1) Treadmill Classes

* Treadmill Ignite (30 Minutes Introduction)
This class is held in our fitness arena and encompasses a complete cardiovascular workout to challenge you. At this level the coaching session will concentrate on using an effort level that is up to your fastest walking pace, no jogging and no running.

* Treadmill Glow (30 Minutes Intermediate)
The second level on our treadmill track focusing on walking and some light jogging, whilst the majority of the coaching session will be aimed towards your fastest walking pace there will be some light jogging to help you reach that next fitness level.

* Treadmill Burn (30 Minutes Advanced)
This is our top level treadmill track class aimed at jogging and running speeds, there are also some extra training zones such as interval training and some tough hills.

All of our treadmill track coaching sessions combine a mixture of programmes, speeds and inclines suitable to the level of group. All are coached by our qualified staff with each session offering something new.

(2) X Train Ignite (30 Minutes Introduction)
This is our level 1 coaching session focusing on technique and a low level fat burning and cardio workout

* X Train Glow (30 Minutes Intermediate)
Our second level of X Train class with the emphasis on higher level programmes and increased resistance and speeds

* X Train Burn (30 Minutes Advanced)
Our top level coaching session with an increased burn on the cardio, programme and resistance elements of the session

The focus on all level 1 sessions will be on technique with level 2 requiring a slightly higher level of fitness and level 3 being for our intermediate to advanced trainers.

(3) Power Plate (30 Minutes for all levels of training)
Our Power Plate coaching sessions will be held in our Power Plate studio in the fitness arena. At these times one of our Fitness Trainers will be available to coach a small number (4 Maximum) of our members through the techniques of this equipment and will show how to use this to benefit your training goals.

(4) Express Circuits (30 Minutes for all levels of training)
Our Life Fitness Express resistance equipment will be used in this fitness arena based class, after a warm up get ready to burn those calories and tone those muscles by working your way through our circuit session.

(5) Crewing
Why not join us for a 30 minute crewing class in the fitness arena. This session will use our Concept II rowers in a group format where we will work on rowing technique, rowing fitness and overall conditioning. This session is great for not only our keen rowers and fitness enthusiasts but also as an added extra to your normal training plan.

(6) Youth Fitness
This is what I wrote for the first page of the Youth Fitness Introduction; The Fitness Arena here at Chiswick Riverside will be offering a variety of fitness training activities for our members between the ages of 14-16 years. We will be running a 3 stage induction programme focusing on cardiovascular training, resistance training and core training. After each induction session our ‘Youth Fitness’ members will receive a training programme relevant to their session and will be able to use any of the equipment covered in their induction session in one of our open sessions.
